How do I use the Framework Ingestion Tool?
This article gives a general background on the use of the Framework Ingestion Tool that allows users to import new assessment types.
Navigation:
1. To access this tool, navigate to Administration> Assessment Configuration > Framework Data Ingestion:

Using the tool:
When you first open the Framework Import Tool, you will see two dropdown lists and a file upload field:

1. In the Source File field, upload the structured data file (typically an Excel workbook) from which you want to import data for a specific assessment type. The system will read the column headers from this file and load them for mapping.

2: If you already have a saved mapper template, select it from the Mapper Templates field. If no template exists, you will need to map the column names manually or use the Auto Map function. This aligns matching columns and allows you to save the mapper template for future use.
3: From the Assessment Type dropdown, select the assessment type you want to import data into. If no Assessment Type exists, create a new one by selecting the New Assessment Type button, then proceed with the import using the steps outlined above.
Guidance Mapping
The Framework Data Ingestion tool has been updated to support importing dynamic guidance data for existing assessment types.
To use this capability, you must map the new guidance tabs to the corresponding columns in the import XLS file:

(This screen illustrates where the individual Guidance tabs are configured within the Assessment Type Configuration area.)
1. After the Guidance tabs have been defined, add the corresponding columns to the Excel file that will be imported:

(Example file.)
2. Once the data is ready to import you can go to the Framework Data Ingestion tool (Administration > Assessment Configuration > Framework Data Ingestion):

2. Uploaded the updated import file and select the Assessment Type for which you want to import data. Clicking "Auto Map" will automatically map the corresponding columns the system believes to be the correct columns to import. Always check and verify the fields mapped correctly:

3. The mapped guidance information may now be imported along with all other data:
